FAQ’S

Can engraving be removed?

Generally speaking it’s not something we advise as it would take a lot of time and effort to remove characters from a material once engraved, however it’s not impossible and we have a couple of techniques which we can apply to help our clients if they find themselves in a situation where they may need to make a late adjustment to a job or to refurbish an old plaque.

How long does engraving take?

This depends on what information you need engraved, the method used to fulfil this, the quantity required and our current workload at the time, however we are more than happy to work with you to meet deadlines in the best way possible.

Can we engrave logos?

Yes we can, having your logo on your company’s product is a great way to increase awareness and build your brand. Simply provide us with the best quality image you have and our design team will convert your logo to a compatible format ready for engraving.

*Depending on the the intricacy of the logo and how much time has to go into drawing the artwork, an additional artwork fee may apply.

What materials can we engrave?

We can engrave a wide range of materials; Laminated plastics, Acrylic, Stainless Steel, Brass, Anodised Aluminium, Un-treated Aluminium, Leather, Wood, and more.

Have something you need engraving that’s not listed above? Simply bring it in and our team will see if we can help.

Do we engrave jewellery?

Unfortunately not.

As we’re primarily commercial and industrial engravers, we would recommend that you seek a specialist jewellery engraver for this as they would be better equipped to do this for you.

What’s the difference between Rotary Engraving & Laser Etching?

Rotary Engraving is done using a CNC machine with a cutter spinning at high speed, leaving a recessed marking into the item being engraved. Co2 Laser Etching appears more like printing than traditional engraving, achieved either by chemical reaction when engraving metal, or by removing a thin layer of material on plastics.
